Baja California Beachfront Wedding | San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico | Caroline and Jonathan
When Caroline told me that they were planning to get married in Mexico, my heart skipped a beat. Take me to the sand and sun any day of the week PLEASE. We headed to San Felipe in Baja California, Mexico for the weekend in early April. The weather was perfect, sunny and in the 70s. We started the day getting ready at their Villa that overlooked miles of soft sand and the teal waters of the Gulf of California. The afternoon was slow and relaxed. The girls got ready sipping twisted teas while the guys drove down to the beach for some last minute surf fishing. We headed out to the venue in the heart of San Felipe where Caroline and Jonathan said “I do.” When I saw the views, my jaw hit the floor. The ceremony area was set up on the beach with only the mountains and the gulf as the backdrop. Their reception had a total Baja vibe, decorated with string lights, drift wood, and tropical foliage. They married at 4:30 in the afternoon and we took their portraits along the beach and cliffs. The tide was rising and kissed us with its salty spray a few times which only made me more excited to see these images. The evening was filled with Sangrias and heartfelt speeches, dancing and lots of love. This was one of the weddings that made me say, “ wow, this is my job.” It was picturesque and perfect and I’m so thankful for these two humans that quickly became friends throughout their planning process and their wedding. Congratulations friends. I adore you both!
